the oath of enlistment. Squad Beta will
stand the night watch together, and fear no evil.

This website has been updated for a combination of reasons. First, the old website was constructed in IWeb, which is no longer supported by Apple. After many years of relatively trouble-free use, I am now running into problems with IWeb. I have constructed this new site with Sandvox, which has a steep learning curve but which is fine once you get to know it. Plus, they welcome refugees from IWeb. Second, the old website is now much too old and much too large. I've decided to keep the essentials, get rid of old stuff, and update everything. Does anyone really want to read the latest news from 2009, or author interviews from 2006? I doubt it. As to the extensive galleries, I'm taking my time to choose the best images from the old site and will be adding them to this site as I have time.
I left Ridan Publishing in October 2012, and the Soldier series is now self-published. We experienced good times and bad times at Ridan, but it ended on a high note for me. Robin Sullivan, the publisher, has removed the Ridan versions of the Soldier series e-books from on-line and substituted my own self-published versions - which are pretty much identical to the Ridan versions. The main difference is the absence of Ridan logos and credits and the fact that 100 percent of all future profits will go directly to me, the author. For this I am grateful - organizing all this complex on-line filing was beyond me, and Robin did it gratis. The bottom line is that the Soldier series is still available on-line just as before.
You can now buy the e-book versions of all books in the Soldier series from Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook, and Kobo. Smashwords and Createspace will be next. Please see the 'Purchase' page to buy downloads.
My reason for writing this series was to create imaginative, escapist science fiction adventure stories with an overall positive message. I hope my new readers will enjoy these stories. I'm pleased with the past reader response as measured by sales, especially on Amazon Kindle. And I've always been happy with the number of personal messages I have received from readers who love the series. The mission is to spread happiness so if you enjoy the Soldier series, please tell your friends.
